PsychiatricFocus The Psychiatric Services offered at Family Service and Community Mental Health Center are designed to provide individuals a comprehensive assessment of their mental, emotional and psychological status.
It also develops a course of treatment that will enable them to maintain a maximum level of functioning. Program Elements - Diagnostic Assessments and Evaluations - Medication Evaluation and Treatment - Pharmacological and Psychotherapeutic Treatment - Psychological Assessments and Treatment - Consultation to other Professionals Program Benefits Services are available to children, adolescents, adults and older adults for the purpose of providing professional psychiatric outpatient care that will stabilize and sustain individuals who are experiencing moderate to severe symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, chemical dependency and other mental health problems. Inpatient treatment is provided at some area hospitals.

Elizabeth K. McMasters, M.D., completed her residency at and received her M.D. from Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. McMasters is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and served as Clinical Director of Adult Behavioral Health Programs at Memorial Medical Center. In addition, Dr. McMasters serves as Medical Director at Family Service and served on staff at both Memorial and Northern Illinois Medical Centers. Dr. McMasters treats adults and adolescents.
Dennis R. Brightwell, M.D., completed his residency at M.D. degree from the University of Iowa Medical School. Dr. Brightwell is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and served as Medical Director of the Youth Center at Rush Behavioral Health and Northwest Community Hospital. Dr. Brightwell previously served as Medical Director of Horizons Behavioral Health in Crystal Lake and the Adult Behavioral Health Unit at Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock. At Family Service Dr. Brightwell serves older adolescents, adults and older adults experiencing a wide array of issues including both psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.
James J. Daly, M.D., MBA, completed his psychiatric residency at Loyola University School of Medicine in Maywood following his medical training at the School of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua in Mexico. Dr. Daly trained and worked in Mexico and because of this experience and his fluency in Spanish welcomes the opportunity to work with Spanish speaking patients. Dr. Daly, who is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, has over twenty years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide array of mental health and substance abuse concerns. Dr. Daly has extensive outpatient and inpatient experience and has served as assistant clinical instructor of psychiatry at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine in Rockford.
M. Cary Haywood, D.O., completed his residency at Lutheran General Hospital after receiving his D.O. from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Haywood is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and served on staff at Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock. Dr. Haywood treats adult, older adult and adolescent patients.
Maria E. Narvasa, M.D., completed her psychiatric residency at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan after receiving her Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. Dr. Narvasa is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and served on staff at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates. Dr. Narvasa has extensive outpatient and inpatient experience working with adolescents, adults and older adults.
Lorna M. Rivera, M.D., completed her fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago after completing her general psychiatry training at Loyola University in Chicago, and received her M.D. degree from the Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines. Dr. Rivera is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and served on staff at Memorial Medical Center in Woodstock. Dr. Rivera specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and families. |
